Nancy Egan

Nancy has been an artist since childhood, selling her first painting at 15 and winning awards in high school.  Her early years she was taught and inspired by her father, a Yale graduate artist.  Seeking to be a scientific artist she received a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.  After numerous years as an engineer for major computer company’s she has gone back to her first love, oil painting.  Nancy has dedicated the last ten years to her painting.  Skilled in many dimensions of art she has developed a deep appreciation of impressionist “plein-air” painting reflecting her training with renowned artist M. Obermeyer, R. Roberts and K. Auster.  She has taught oil painting classes for the last 9 years and continues to win awards.  Landscapes and spiritual images are currently her subject of choice.

My images are inspirations from my travels around the world.  The subject matter for Nancy's seascapes are most often from Laguna Beach, San Clemente, San Diego and Hawaii. Her paintings capture a moment in time expressing a desire of wanting to be there or feeling a connection of being there.  When someone looks at her paintings she hopes to bring happiness.  It is her ministry to bring the Divine to the human world, stirring emotions to raise the human world to God.

Nancy has exhibited her work in festivals in Laguna Beach, Beverly Hills, Palm Springs and San Diego.  Her work is in private, corporate and public collections throughout the world.  Nancy maintains her studio in San Clemente California.
