Ecoaccents Pillows

Ecoaccents Pillows

All of our earth-friendly pillows are constructed with beautifully natural fibers, such as burlap and hemp.  Many of our pillows are decorated with a jute, a bamboo blend or a cotton brush or loop fringe.

Each one of our fabrics is unique but special in their own way. As with any minimally processed fabric, there will be slight variations in color due to differences in growing conditions from harvest to harvest.

Hemp is naturally resistant to pests so the plant needs very little to no pesticides to grow. Very little herbicides are required to grow hemp. Hemp is an extremely durable fiber giving you long lasting style. Our hemp is handmade and has slubs and variations in the finish, making imperfections part of its special appearance.

Burlap is a fabric made from the jute plant. Jute has a fast growing cycle which increases its renewability. There is almost no need for pesticides and herbicides in cultivating jute. Burlap is a more rustic fiber and initially sheds fibers. As with hemp, jute is a hand woven fabric which has variations in the finish adding to burlap's shabby chic appeal and rustic charm.

Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides and herbicides. In contrast, conventionally grown cotton accounts for approximately 25% of the pesticides used in the world, making it one of the most environmentally damaging crops grown.

All of our fabrics are 100% biodegradable.
